Anton Alikhanov awarded the winners of the Hope for Technology national award

Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov awarded the winners of the Hope for Technology national award at Russian Healthcare Week 2024. The main goal of the award is to identify and support the best Russian innovative projects in the rehabilitation industry and improve the quality of technical rehabilitation devices for people with disabilities.

The Hope for Technology Award was launched in 2016. It is organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. This year, the expert committee received 56 applications in 5 nominations.

Presenting awards to the winners, Anton Alikhanov thanked all the participants of the competition and noted that every year the Hope for Technology Organising Committee has more and more work to do in assessing the ever-increasing number and quality of applications.

"This is certainly a positive trend that reflects both the maturation and expansion of the industry. Today, there are already over 700 manufacturing companies in the perimeter of the rehabilitation industry," emphasized the minister.

Mr. Alekhanov drew attention to the strategic importance of the rehabilitation industry, which contributes to the development of an inclusive society.

A winner in the nomination of For Contribution to the Development and Promotion of Rehabilitation Technology and Universal Design was Samara State Medical University, which presented a ReviVR (Reviver) multi-sensory patient rehabilitation simulator. The award was also given to CITO and ZSO, which took the second and third places respectively.

The first place in the nomination of Solution of the Year in the sphere of universal design and provision of accessible environment was awarded to Vertikal. The second and third places were taken by Istok Audio Trading with its Istok-Smart smart home system project and Albrekht Federal Scientific and Educational Centre of Medial and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation of the Russian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection with a project of system solutions in the field of route-oriented approach to creating accessible environment.

The project of the Russian University of Sport 'GTSOLIFK' won in the nomination of the Best Practice of Resource Training and Methodological Centre Based on Higher Education Organisations. The North Caucasus Federal University took the second place.

The article on the topic of adaptive clothing and footwear for veterans by ORTOMODA won in the nomination of the Best Publication in Mass Media on the Topic of Innovative Developments and Rehabilitation Industry. The second place certificate was awarded to Ortorent for its publication on smart functional-spatial rehabilitation hall. The third place was given to Steplife for the book 'The School of Prosthetic Walking.'

Metiz Production was recognised as the Exporter of the Year in the rehabilitation industry. Aurica and Neurosoft also became award recipients in this nomination.

Anton Alikhanov also made a tour around Pharmmedprom 2024 held within Russian Healthcare Week 2024. The Russian-made products on display included ultrasound scanners, a multifunctional ventilator, sterilisers, dressings, products for traumatology and orthopaedics, radiation monitoring systems, as well as the latest development – a universal platform for automated synthesis of various radiopharmaceuticals.
