Russian Healthcare Week 2024 is Russia's largest series of events for the healthcare and medical industry. It covers virtually the entire industry: equipment manufacturing, science, and practical medicine.
This large-scale project brings together such major exhibitions as the 33rd International Exhibition for Medical Engineering Products and Consumables – Zdravookhraneniye 2024, 17th International Exhibition for Rehabilitation and Preventive Treatment Facilities, Medical Aesthetics, Pharmaceuticals and Products for Healthy Lifestyle – Healthy Lifestyle 2024, the 9th PharmMedProm Exhibition and Conference, the 7th International Exhibition for Medical and Wellness Services, Health Improvement and Medical Treatment in Russia and Abroad – MedTravelExpo 2024. Medical Clinics. Health and Spa Resorts, and a rich medical business and science related conference programme.

The Week is traditionally included in the list of events supported by the Russian Ministry of Health Care and in the consolidated list of congresses and exhibitions held in Russia and abroad for participation of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The main objective of the Week and its international exhibitions Zdravookhraneniye, which celebrates its half-century anniversary this year, Healthy Lifestyle, and MedTravelExpo. Medical Clinics. Health and Spa Resorts is to facilitate the implementation of Russia's national projects aimed at achieving technological leadership, actively creating its own production base, developing the healthcare system, education, tourism, increasing the life expectancy of Russian citizens, and addressing demographic issues.
To strengthen the role of science and technology in solving the most important tasks of the development of society and the country, from 2022 the Week is held within two initiatives of the plan of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia: Designing the Future and the Platform for Interaction Between Science, Business, Government and Society.
The Week's participants make strategic decisions in healthcare and summarise the interim results of the implementation of national projects. There is a synergy of business, science and government. The Week also launches projects of young scientists who present their developments to the professional community.
This year, the Zdravookhraneniye International Exhibition celebrates its 50th anniversary. It has a broad international agenda, including meetings of health ministers from a number of countries and signing of intergovernmental agreements.
Show highlights
This year, Zdravookhraneniye, Healthy Lifestyle and MedTravelExpo. Medical Clinics. Health and Spa Resorts will welcome more than 1,000 companies (including 763 Russian ones) from 16 countries: Belarus, China, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Lebanon, Pakistan, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, Turkiye, the UAE, and Uzbekistan.
China and Hungary will have national pavilions.
The group stand of Russian regions will be arranged by the Altai Krai, the Republics of Bashkortostan and Chuvashia, the Pskov, Samara, Tyumen, Volgograd, and Voronezh Oblasts.
The latest medical technologies, innovative developments and health-improving services will be presented by such companies as Sibur, VITA-POOL, Shvabe, Electron, AMICO, Bimc-Cardio-Volga, Almaz-Antey Concern, Medical Technologies LTD, Medindustria Service, Nizhegorodets, Modern Transport Technologies Group, S.P. Helpic, Nikamed, Trives, Maltri, Ortorent, Orbita, Physiotechnica, Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology of the Russian Ministry of Health Care, Botkin Hospital, Medscan Group, the Beloostrov Clinic of High Technologies, Luka Krymskiy (Voyno-Jasenetsky) Medical Rehabilitation Centre, the Belokurikha Resort, the Sosnovy Bor Health Resort, the Matsesta Balneological Resort, the Sernovodsk Caucasus Health Resort, the Ruzhansky Health Resort, etc.
The PharmMedProm exhibition, organised under the auspices of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, will showcase the products of Russian manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and equipment.
Conference programme
The rich conference programme of Russian Healthcare Week 2024 will bring together more than 70 major events.
The 16th Russian Assembly of Professionals in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Industries will open the programme on December 2.
One of the priorities of EXPOCENTRE, especially in the year of its 65th anniversary, is supporting young professionals. For example, the 4th Scientific and Educational Forum 'THE YOUNG MEDICINE' will be held in partnership with Filatov International Foundation for Biomedical Technologies Development and the Russian Ministry of Health. It gives talented young scientists from all over Russia an opportunity to bring to life their most incredible developments in all areas of medicine, mainly in the field of biomedicine, IT and rehabilitation, under the patronage of renowned scientists. In 2024, more than 400 applications from all regions of Russia and CIS member states were submitted for the competition held within the project.
In addition, this year leading Russian universities will organise the Conference for Students and Young Professionals: Open the World of Medical Technology. Career Prospects in Medical Engineering. It will be held for the first time in order to popularise engineering professions and train cross-functional specialists, who create new technologies in the field of medical equipment, provide its operation and maintenance.
Russian Scientific and Research Institute for Medical Engineering of the Federal Service on Surveillance in Healthcare with the support of EXPOCENTRE will hold the Special Expert Session on MEDTECH.RUSSIA – The Best Way to Enter the Russian Market for representatives of foreign medical device manufacturers participating in the Russian Healthcare Week exhibitions and interested in entering the markets of Russia and the EAEU.
As usual, EXPOCENTRE organizes the two-day International Medical Tourism Workshop for the exhibitors of MedTravelExpo. Medical Clinics. Health and Spa Resorts. This year, the event's participants will be leading medical tourism agencies from eight countries: Azerbaijan, Egypt, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkiye, and the UAE. The workshop will take place on December 3 and 4. In advance, each participant will receive a schedule of meetings with buyers. There will be negotiations on possible further cooperation within the event. There is no doubt that some agreements of intent will be signed.
The Section on International Cooperation between Russia and China in Healthcare: Prospects, Trends and Payment Solutions will be organised by EXPOCENTRE in partnership with Sinoruss for the first time. The event will be held in Chinese.
The section's programme will include sessions on financial transactions between Russia and China in healthcare: specifics, current solutions and cases; growing demand for quality medical equipment in Russia: opportunities for Chinese partners; advantages of partnership with the Russian healthcare market and strategic cooperation with China; innovations and new technologies in healthcare in Russia and China; localisation of medical products: a key aspect of successful cooperation in the Russian market; and payment solutions for Russian-Chinese transactions in healthcare: current opportunities and prospects.
The MedTravelFest International Festival for Active Lifestyle and Health has been held since 2018 to popularise recreation at health resorts and medical tourism. Russia's leading medical centres and health resorts take part in its organisation.
Visitors will be able to take part in masterclasses, get autographs from famous doctors and authors of popular books, get consultations from leading specialists, and choose a health resort or medical centre based on expert recommendations.
